Pupils of both 6th classes went on a wonderful trip in the North of Italy in the last school week. The aim of the project days was the historic city Grado, a mixture between sea, lagoon and antique past.
The first highlight was a city tour about the interesting history of Grado and its significance as health resort during the Habsburg monarchy.
On Tuesday a trip to Aquileia was planned giving insight to the Roman past, the remnants of the basilica and beautiful mosaics. One part of the pupils visited the Isle Barbara and its church of St Mary. The other groups went for a walk in the lanes of the old town or enjoyed the sea.
After a fine breakfast on Wednesday a visit of Triest was the final point. These project days were a combination of history, culture, nature and community - an event that will stay in our pupils' memory.
