Our 5th and 6th classes went on an exciting trip to the world of economics. Destination was the First Financial Life Park (FLip) in Vienna, a modern learning center around money.
Interactive stations dealt with basic financial terms like budget, interest or inflation. The station of globalisation was very impressive - the example of the origin of jeans could be traced, a typical example of the connection between daily life and worldwide economic contexts. A highlight was the visit of the big vault where questions concerning money, consumerism and personal values were discussed. Our pupils were very interested in these topics. Financial education is an important part of future independence and maturity. This trip was an impulse to encourage a mindful treatment of money.
