72h without compromise

Social commitment of our pupils

Three days of our pupils were dedicated to helpfulness, solidarity and commitment. In the course of the project "72 hours without compromise" lead by the dioceses throughout Austria our upper classes showed how diverse social actions can be. The beginning was at the weekly market in Oberwart, where our pupils sold things in favour of the Sterntalerhof. At the same time cookies were baked at the dementia centre Oberwart, discussions were held - partly in Hungarian - and laughed together. On the second day a part of the 6M class winterized the Catholic and Reformed cemetery – raking leaves, cleaning paths were on the programme. Another group visited the Seniors garden, where young and old played together, laughed and cross-generational togetherness was practised. The 5H class had a sales booth in the EO, again in favour of the Sterntalerhof, and the 6M class artistically designed a wall at the sports hall Oberwart. The results are evident - a visible sign of commitment and sense of community! A warmhearted thank you to all participants for their commitment - your showed what social commitment really stands for: 72 hours full of heart, energy and solidarity!
